Welcome to the Volunteer Programme of the North West Hospice, Sligo.
- Volunteers make a valuable contribution to our services at North West Hospice. Their commitment, talents and skills support us in providing quality care, respite and comfort to people who are facing a life-limiting illness and are in need of specialised end-of-life care.
- Each volunteer has different reasons for getting involved. For some, this particular service is close to their heart - they wish to give something back, make new friends or keep their skills active. Volunteers genuinely care, are reliable and committed, and are open to new experiences as part of the Hospice team.
- We invite volunteers of all ages and with all levels of experiences. If you are interested, you will need to fill in an Application Form, provide two references and agree to provde a Garda Clearance. This will be followed by an informal interview and if accepted, you will receive from us relevant training, ongoing support and supervision. Volunteers are asked to make a one-year commitment and it would be our hope that during this time you will have many rewarding, enjoyable and meaningful experiences with us.
There are currently no volunteer opportunties available at the moment
Thank you for your interest in North West Hospice.
